Chateau de Pez, Saint-Estephe

Bright, dark red. Currant, mocha, leather, animal fur and earth on the rather sauvage nose. Supple and open-knit, with an attractive sweetness to the flavours of red cherry, raspberry, menthol and herbs. The herbal element carries through to the finish, where the chewy tannins turn a bit dry with air. No shortage of body here, and bright on the finish.
