Aromas of spice and floral notes such as iris and violet on the nose. On the palate it is delicate and fruity with intense and persistent flavours of red and black fruit. Tannins are also present, which add excellent balance to the wine.

Chateau de Roques

In the satellite of Puisseguin St Emilion The vineyards of the Chateau are on a plateaux which has 40 cm of fertile clay soils and limestone under soil. The South and West facing sites have deep clay and sandy soils

There are three different kinds of grapes planted, 65 % Merlot for the colour and the fineness of the wine, 30 % Cabernet Franc which gives perfume and tannins and 3 % Cabernet Sauvignon for the suppleness. Vinification is carried out using mainly traditional vinification with an adaptation of new oenological practices. Once made the wine stays one year in oak barrel then it is bottled 18 months after the harvest.
