Chateau de Sancerre
Named in honour of Louis de Sancerre, a distinguished figure in French history who served as Marshal and Constable of France in the 14th century, this wine reflects his character, lively, refined, and complex. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, it comes from carefully selected old-vine parcels with excellent exposure on flint and chalky-clay soils. Only the finest juices are chosen for their freshness, fruit, and complexity, then clarified and fermented in 400L oak barrels crafted mostly from local wood within 100 km of the estate. Around 30% of the wine is aged in oak for 10 months, resulting in a fresh yet opulent Sancerre with remarkable finesse and depth.
