Jean-Luc Colombo

Jean-Luc Colombo's winemaking journey began in the early 1980s when he acquired his first vineyard, a picturesque granite hillside overlooking Cornas village. This marked the birth of the flagship cuvée, Cornas "Les Ruchets," in 1987. Since then, their estate has flourished across the Northern Rhône and Provence, evolving with Jean-Luc's expertise in advising clients as an oenologist.

Nestled atop the Cornas hills, Jean-Luc and Anne have cultivated a captivating haven that extends beyond grapes. Their farm boasts apricots, figs, and olive trees, flourishing vegetable gardens, and vibrant flowering plants. Their two golden retrievers, Fitou and Corton, play an active role in tending to the vineyards and gardens, while a lively brood of over fifty hens supplies eggs for family and friends. Their daughter, Laure, joined the family estate in 2010, infusing it with her expertise as a viticulturist, oenologist, and passionate world traveller. Her impact on the estate's wines has garnered high praise, and alongside her partner Dimitri, she established her own estate, "Le Domaine de Lorient," in Saint Péray, perched at one of the appellation's highest elevations since 2014.
