Monviert Sauvignon Blanc, Friuli Colli Orientali DOC

Pale straw yellow wine with soft greenish reflections. The intense, rich, non-cloying scent is reminiscent of yellow pepper, banana, melon, sage. The taste is dry and nervous, but at the same time soft, warm, velvety, elegant, pleasantly aromatic and with a good structure. Fresh, elegant and, most of all, tropical. The pungent aspect of Pyrazines is mitigated by a fruit of exceptional pulp and juiciness, with tropical notes that immediately denote its glycerine aspect and its extreme pleasantness.

Monviert

Monviert is a love story between the Monviert family and their land, the Colli Orientali del Friuli. A land that has always been capable of producing top-quality grapes and that they have treated with respect. Their philosophy is that 'Nature teaches, but it is through tradition that its teachings are upheld.'

The winery was first set up under the name Ronchi San Giuseppe shortly after the Second World War, though its roots go even further back, and the family winemaking tradition that started with Grandfather Franco and has been handed down from generation to generation. At present several generations of the Monviert family are involved in producing wine for the winery, from grape to glass.

The Monviert wines express the wide variety of fragrances and aromas released by the different terrains on which the vines grow, From marl to gravel, passing from the foothills and clayey zones, Martagona embodies all the nuances of this rich and diversified land.
