This is a great little white Burgundy. There is a touch of oak in the background, but the emphasis is very much on freshness and minerality. This elegant white Burgundy is very good for the money.

Domaine Roland Sounit
The Domaine Roland Sounit is situated in Rully, in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, to the south of Côte d'Or. The vineyard enjoys a sunnier and warmer climate than in Côte d'Or and is renowned for producing easy-to-drink aromatic wines which are beautifully rich.
We cultivate 16 hectares of vines around the villages of Rully and Mercurey, making our estate extremely specialised in the Côte Chalonnaise.
All the aromas of the Côte Chalonnaise. One of the unique features of the Domaine Roland Sounit can be found in the pruning of the vines. Shorter than the neighbouring vines, it provides greater concentration in the grapes and very aromatic wines. During vinification, regular stirring of the fine lees in the tanks awakens complex aromas in our white wines. They are fresh and balanced and offer a beautiful, long finish. For the red wines, carefully controlled extraction enables us to obtain deep colours and wonderful concentration. It also gives the wines good structure and strength, offering excellent ageing potential.
